Add photographs or videos to your personalized map.Shapes can be given titles and descriptions as well. Continue moving your mouse and clicking to define the edges of the shape connect it to its start point to finish it. Click somewhere on the map to begin drawing your shape. Select the “Draw a shape” option from the line tool button. You will be asked to give your route a name and description. Double-click at the end point of the route to complete it. Drag your mouse along the route, clicking at each turn to lock the route into place. To start drawing a route, click once on a road. Click on the button and select the “Draw a line along roads” option from the drop-down menu.

These maps can be annotated using landmarks, routes, custom shapes, text, and more. “My Maps” is a service run by Google Maps that allows users to create and save custom maps.
